- Would your group like to have an official Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs logo or Student Organization Logo Signature?
- Have you had your artwork or images approved?
Images, Logos and Trademark Licensing
Approval Prior to Production
UWF Student Organizations who wish to purchase items should use the UWF Trademark Licensing Approval Form (link) to gain preliminary approval before sending an order to a vendor.
Trademark Designation Symbols such as ™ and ® should be used appropriately. Following is a list of phrases that require designation symbols. The symbols should be to the top and right of the verbiage/phrase.

Use of the University Name
Student organizations may use the University name within their group names; however, they may not use the language in a manner that could create confusion between it as an organization and the University itself or in a manner that interferes with the integrity of UWF’s official logos.
The standards for use are as follows:
- The use of "UWF" and "University of West Florida" is permitted. For example, Caribbean Student Association at the University of West Florida or Caribbean Student Association—UWF Chapter.
- The use of "University of West Florida Argonauts," "UWF Argonauts," "West Florida Argonauts" and "Argie" is limited to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and is not permitted. However, the use of "Argo(s)” or "Argonaut(s)" is permitted. For example, "Argo Social Work Club" or "Argonaut Cooking Club."

Who Does this Govern and Who Needs to Know this Policy?
This policy governs all University of West Florida departments, student organizations, and their representatives. The campus community should be aware of and comply with this policy.
What is a Registered Mark?
Registered Mark is a trademark that has been registered with the Federal government through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Federal registration provides additional protection and remedies for trademark infringement.
What vendors can I use?
All University of West Florida departments and student organizations must order said merchandise from an approved UWF licensed vendor.
