UWF Singers present the “Bon Voyage Concert”

The University of West Florida’s Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the UWF Singers in their Bon Voyage Concert.” Enjoy the performance that will be featured at the regional American Choral Directors Association conference in Orlando, Florida. The performance will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rolfs Music Hall at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on UWF’s Pensacola campus.

UWF study of suicide and opioid death rates in US pinpoints geographical areas of concern

An analysis by a University of West Florida team identified areas in the contiguous United States where suicide and opioid death rates are high and where the deaths overlap. The observations have the opportunity to assist health agencies in these areas in identifying conditions that may be driving an unusually high rate of suicides and/or opioid deaths.

UWF Jazz Ensemble and Combo

The University of West Florida and the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music will present the Jazz Ensemble & Combo in concert on Tuesday, October 4 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in the Mainstage Theatre at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Pensacola campus. Join the UWF Combo and UWF Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Joseph T. Spaniola for an evening of small and large ensemble instrumental jazz at the University of West Florida. The Combo will present works by Duke Ellington, Paul Desmond, Wayne Shorter, George Gershwin and more. The Jazz Ensemble will present the music of Neal Hefti, Mongo Santamaria, Lennon and McCartney, Thad Jones and more. This event is free and open to the public but tickets are required.
