Biography
Nancy Quina serves as the Associate Director of Recreation and Wellness. She is responsible for daily operation and instructional programming of the Aquatic Center and the HLS Facility. She administers facility scheduling and maintenance, plans and executes instructional calendar and curricula, and manages programming and facility leadership positions of a diverse Aquatic Center staff which requires professional rescuer skills.
She serves as departmental Training Officer and Safety Education Curricula Director for the comprehensive Risk Management program, is responsible for compliance with current safety standards, specialized skills training and a variety of certifications for all department employees.
Nancy is the Chairperson for Lifeguard and Swimming Instructor Certification Program Advisory Board for the State of Florida Department of Health. She holds national certifications as an American Red Cross Instructor Trainer and Starfish Aquatic Institute Instructor Trainer. She is a member of Association of Aquatic Professionals. Nancy earned her MS in Health Care administration from UWF where she is also an adjunct instructor.
