Biography
Kristil serves as the Assistant Director of Wellness. She is responsible for planning, implementing, supervising, and evaluating campus health promotion initiatives and contributing to the overall well-being of students and staff at UWF. She manages health education activities for alcohol abuse and misuse prevention, sexual health promotion, and sexual assault prevention with an emphasis on the Eight Dimensions of Wellness: a holistic health philosophy that serves as the framework for UWF’s ArgoWell. Her role also includes overseeing the Peer Health Educator program.
She holds both a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in education and a master’s degree in Health Promotion and Worksite Wellness from the University of West Florida. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), a tobacco treatment specialist, and a certified tai chi instructor.
Kristil stays active through yoga, basketball, gardening, and dance, and she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, spending time with her family, and learning languages. She finds fulfillment in studying and sharing all the ways in which it is good to be well.
