Aurora Osborn

Biography

Ms. Aurora Osborn currently serves as the Senior Director of the Office of Campus Culture and Access for the Division of Academic Engagement and Student Affairs and the University. Her commitment to creating a more accessible and inclusive community is evident in her leadership over critical areas, including Title IX Programs, Student Accessibility Resources, Student Ombuds services, and Campus Culture (civility and inclusion).  Ms. Osborn also teaches American Politics, focusing on viewpoint diversity and constructive dialogue, for UWF’s Reubin O'D. Askew Department of Government. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and a master’s degree in political science, both of which she earned at UWF.

Before her current role, Ms. Osborn served UWF as the Equal Opportunity Officer, investigating complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation while also serving as a consultant to the University community regarding issues of civility, respect, and inclusion while ensuring UWF remained compliant with state and federal reporting and training obligations.

Ms. Osborn is an active member of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA), the International Ombuds Association (IOA), the Constructive Dialogue Institute (CDI), Heterodox Academy (HxA), and The Florida Bar.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Ms. Osborn is active in local nonprofit and philanthropic initiatives, including several leadership roles on boards of directors for organizations devoted to filling in the gaps in access and inclusion.
