Dr. Jennifer L. McCaul

Biography

Dr. Jennifer L. McCaul is the executive director of the Center for Academic Success at the University of West Florida. She has administrative responsibility for First-Year Advising, Student Accessibility Resources, Testing Services and Tutoring and Learning Resources. She also serves as UWF’s platform owner and administrator for EAB Navigate as well as oversight of the University’s Academic Advising Council. She has more than 20 years of professional experience in higher education administration. She has a Ph.D. in higher education leadership, a master’s in adult and higher education (M.Ed.), and a master’s in business administration (MBA).

McCaul has published and presented regionally and nationally in the areas of strategic planning, advising structure and assessment, faculty and professional advising partnerships, experiential and service learning, and leadership development and assessment. This includes a chapter in the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) monograph Academic Advising Administration: Essential Knowledge and Skills for the 21st Century. She has also served as an adjunct professor in the areas of liberal studies, public and nonprofit leadership, and college student affairs.

In addition, Dr. McCaul serves in leadership roles within the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), the Emerald Coast Academic Advising Network (ECAAN) and the Florida Association of College Test Administrators (FACTA). She has also won awards at the university, state and national level for service to students, administration of an advising program, and leadership in her profession.
