Skylab Book Scanner

The UWF Libraries have multiple workstations that have attached image scanners that you can use to digitize documents, pictures, etc. The locations of these workstations are listed below along with a brief description of the types of materials that you can digitize.

Note: All machines with scanners have the FULL version of Adobe Acrobat Professional software. You can use this software to view and edit PDF documents.

John C. Pace Library, Building 32

1st Floor
Three (3) scanners at the standup workstations near the Reference Desk, and one (1) scanner attached to our ADA workstation. The maximum source document dimensions are 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized).

2nd Floor
Two (2) scanners at the workstations outside the Great Good Place (near the elevators). The maximum source document dimensions are 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized).

5th Floor (Skylab)
Two (2) scanners are attached to the workstations near the fireplace in room 504. The maximum source document dimensions are 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.

One (1) large format scanner is attached to the scanning workstation in room 504. The maximum source document dimensions are 11 x 17 inches (tabloid sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.

One (1) Automatic Document Feed (ADF) scanner attached to the scanning workstation in room 504. The maximum width is 8.5 inches. The ADF can feed and digitize hundreds of pages per hour.

One (1) KIC Bookeye 4 Book Scanner in room 504 (picture above). This scanner is self-contained and is available for walk-up use anytime the library is open. This scanner can digitize items up to 18x24.4 inches and excels at the rapid scanning of bound items.

Education Research Library, Building 86, Room 105

One (1) scanner at the patron workstation near the Reference Desk. The maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized).

One (1) scanner is attached to the multimedia workstation. The maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.

Emerald Coast Library, Building 8

One (1) scanner at the patron workstation near the Reference Desk. The maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized).

One (1) scanner is attached to the multimedia workstation. The maximum source document dimensions is 8.5 x 11 inches (letter-sized). Can scan transparencies, photographic slides, and negatives.
