Skylab (Reservable Classroom)
Skylab Classroom (Room 504)
The Skylab classroom, room 504, is on the 5th floor of the John C. Pace Library. The Skylab is an open computer lab for UWF faculty, staff, and students when the room is not otherwise reserved.
The Skylab classroom contains:
- 34 student workstations (20 of which have dual screens);
- Instructor's podium and workstation;
- Projector with a motorized screen.
The computers must be accessed with a current Argonet username & password.
The computers in the classroom include the same pre-installed software that is available on other library workstations. If your instruction session requires other specialized software, please note this in your request below. Note: our ability to pre-install software will depend on how it is licensed.
Reservations
Because the primary purpose of the Skylab classroom is to be available as an open computer lab the requirements for reserving this room are different from our primary classroom.
On weekdays from 8:00 am to noon the Skylab classroom may be reserved for any user who requires a space with computer technology (and optionally, instruction from one of the University Librarians).
From noon throughout the rest of the day, the room may only be reserved for 1st-floor overflow purposes.
Standing orders (recurring requests by the same group) cannot be accommodated.
