Victim's Advocate
A victim advocate will be contacted to respond to the needs of victims of crimes. Advocates are available to assist victims with the emotional, physical, and financial trauma often resulting from a crime. A victim advocate can provide for the following:
- 24 hour availability
- Crisis Intervention
- Personal Advocacy
- Community information and referrals
- Emotional Support
- Court Accompaniment
- Transportation
- Assistance with crime compensation
- Information about the criminal justice system
- Case status updates
- Assistance in filing Petitions for Protection from abuse and repeat violence
