Community Policing

Police Campus Events

We are proud to serve our community through many different programs and projects.

The UWF Police Department's way of life is to Serve and Protect. Our Sr. Police Communications Office, Sandra Bermejo, is from the Marianna, FL community that was hit hard by Hurricane Michael, and our community came together to support those impacted through the Pack the Patrol Car program. We will continue to use this program to help support communities in need. We want to give a big thank you to our Argo community for the support.

On Campus Engagement

We place a strong emphasis on campus-community oriented policing which integrates the idea of crime prevention, problem solving, and community involvement into a comprehensive program. Being involved on campus and getting to know the students through a variety of programs like:

  • Pizza with the Police
  • Coffee with a Cop
  • Popsicles with the Police
  • Cookies with the Cops, etc.

These programs allow us to be successful in our goals of being partners in safety, guardians of trust, and servants of the community we protect.

To keep up with campus events and safety information, connect with us on Instagram and Facebook.
