Biography
Roman Jackson has more than 20 years of leadership experience across all major areas of public safety operations including patrol operations, criminal investigations and strategic planning.
Jackson has held several leadership roles throughout his career with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office prior to joining the Argonaut team. During his executive leadership tenure, he progressed through the ranks from patrol operations to serving as Department Major over Operations, Investigations, Special Operations, and Administration. He is a decorated law enforcement Purple Heart recipient, a graduate of FBI National Academy Class #283 and currently serves as an instructor for statewide leadership education, specializing in Critical Incident Management and Officer Mental Health.
Jackson earned both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Columbia State University. Through his deep sense of community and collaboration, Jackson has worked with schools, nonprofits, local businesses and law enforcement leadership academies to speak on the importance of public safety throughout Pensacola.
