Register for the OUR Faculty Mentoring Workshop

The Office of Undergraduate Research hosts an annual faculty workshop focusing on student mentoring, typically the week after Spring Finals week.
 
This is for faculty mentoring students in research and other HIPs. Workshop topics include the non-technical aspects of mentoring, such as aligning expectations, effective communication, and fostering independence. Workshop participants will establish a network of trained mentors, enabling them to engage, share successes, and collaborate on strategies for addressing challenging situations that may arise after the workshop.
 
For Spring 2025, the Office of Undergraduate Research will host a 1-day (in-person) faculty workshop focused on student mentoring on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 (8:30 am to 2:00 pm).  Register to attend. Please contact OUR with any questions at our@uwf.edu.
