The Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR) resources for starting research and other scholarly activities.
Students can participate in research in any discipline, from math and science to art and theater, to history and criminal justice. If you aren’t sure what research looks like in your discipline, talk to your professors about what their own research and scholarship look like, such as where they publish scholarly articles, what conferences they attend, and what they do when they aren’t in a class. Start at the Entering Research section and review the various pages dedicated to programs and resources for students wanting to start their UWF research journey.
Curious about how to get started in research? Watch this short narrated presentation, Getting Involved in Undergraduate Research, by OUR Director, Dr. Allison Schwartz, about how you can begin to experience your major!!
