Appeal of Admission Denial

How to appeal a UWF admission denial decision.

Appeal Overview

Applicants who have received a formal denial of admission to the University may choose to appeal the decision. The UWF Catalog details the appeals of admission denial process and related UWF regulations.

This appeals process is only for applicants who have received an admission denial decision; it may not be used to appeal a spring deferment.

Appeal Process

  1. Denied applicants may submit the Appeal to Admissions Decision form to initiate an appeal.
    • Appeals should include any relevant information for the Admissions Appeals Committee to consider, including, at minimum, a written statement and any other relevant documentation.
    • The deadline to submit an appeal is 15 business days before the start of the term for which a student was denied.
  2. The committee will review the appeal and render a final decision within approximately two to three weeks.
  3. The applicant will be notified of the final decision via a mailed letter.

If you have questions about this process, please contact Executive Director of University Admissions Ethan Henley.
