US News listed five skills employers are looking for in a potential college graduates. These skills include collaboration, communication, problem-solving, time management, and leadership.
All of these skills are honed and developed during your study abroad experience! It is important to express the new skills and abilities you have acquired abroad when you are writing resume and interviewing with potential employers.
Global Experience in a Resume
When you are creating your resume, add a section that lists your international experiences. In a QS Intelligence Unit survey, fifty-four percent of U.S. employers responded that they looked for or valued international experience when recruiting. Listing your experiences shows employers that you are a globally competitive applicant, and highlights the skills and multi-cultural competencies you have developed.
