Important Dates and Timeline: 

  • September 9, 2025: Abstract Submission Portal Opens
  • December 5, 2025: Abstract Submission Portal Closes
  • January 14, 2026: Notification Released and Registration Opens
  • January 30, 2026: Early-Bird Registration Deadline (all students supported by OUR must register within the early bird registration window)
  • March 6, 2026: Registration Closes

NCUR 2026 will take place from April 13 to 15, 2026, at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in Richmond, VA.

Due to NCUR 2026 overlapping with the annual UWF Symposium, OUR will not be able to attend with UWF undergraduate students who will be presenting research at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR). 

UWF students are welcome to apply to present and attend NCUR 2026, and can apply for an OUR Travel award to support their trip. To attend NCUR 2026, UWF students must apply through the NCUR Abstract Submission Portal.

OUR cannot guarantee to fund all UWF students accepted to NCUR 2026.

Students who receive an OUR Travel Award are NOT eligible for another OUR Travel Award this academic year. If you have already received an OUR Travel Award or plan to apply for one for the 2025-26 academic year, you are not eligible to apply for a Travel Award to attend NCUR 2026.

Step 1: Apply to NCUR

To submit your abstract for NCUR 2026, follow the instructions outlined on the "How to Submit" page. Please note that only one student per presentation will be supported to attend NCUR.

The following additional information is required for student abstract submission:

  • For each co-author or co-presenter: Name, institution, and email address.
  • Faculty mentor: Name, institution, and email address.
  • Campus undergraduate research coordinator:

Step 2: Notify OUR

Notify OUR that you've applied to present at NCUR 2026, so we have a record of your anticipated attendance. You can apply for a Travel Award by using the OUR Program Application Portal via MyUWF
