Important Dates and Timeline: 

  • September 10, 2024: Abstract Submission Portal Opens
  • December 6, 2024: Abstract Submission Portal Closes
  • January 14, 2025: Notification Released and Registration Opens
  • January 31, 2025: Early-Bird Registration Deadline (all students supported by OUR must register within the early bird registration window)
  • March 7, 2025: Registration Closes

NCUR 2025 Conference

NCUR 2025 will occur April 7-9, 2025, at the  David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

OUR anticipates funding to support up to ten UWF undergraduate students presenting research at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research (NCUR). To attend NCUR 2025, UWF students must apply and have their abstract accepted by NCUR and must apply and have their application accepted by OUR. For details, please visit the NCUR 2025 platform.

OUR cannot guarantee to fund all UWF students accepted to NCUR 2025.

Students who receive an NCUR Travel Award are NOT eligible for another OUR Travel Award this academic year. If you already received an OUR Travel Award or plan to apply for one for the 2024-25 academic year, you are not eligible to apply for an NCUR 2025 Travel Award.

Priority will be given to current undergraduate students with no previous conference experience. OUR also plans to have representation from various campus departments.

If you apply, but are not selected to present at NCUR 2025, OUR will work with you to revise your abstract and identify another conference that aligns with your interests

Step 1: Apply to NCUR

To submit your abstract for NCUR 2025, follow the instructions outlined on the "Abstract Submissions" page. Please note only one student per presentation will be supported to attend NCUR.

The following additional information is required for student abstract submission:

  • For each co-author or co-presenter: Name, institution, and email address.
  • Faculty mentor: Name, institution, and email address.
  • Campus undergraduate research coordinator:

Step 2: Apply to OUR

Apply to OUR by using the OUR Program Application Portal via MyUWF and complete/submit the OUR NCUR 2025 application.
