Biography

Catrina Burks serves as the communications coordinator for the Usha Kundu, MD College of Health. In this role, she works closely with the Dean's Office and faculty to manage college-specific marketing and communications efforts through social media accounts, website content, publicizing events and initiatives, and providing general support of the University's brand identity and strategic messaging.

Catrina earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional, technical and scientific writing from Indiana University East with an emphasis in marketing. She is an Army veteran, and attended the Defense Language Institute and worked as a cryptologic linguist and signals intelligence analyst. Before joining the University of West Florida communications team, she worked with Marriott supporting new hotel openings in both marketing and operations roles.

In her free time, Catrina enjoys playing the piano, fishing and spending time with her husband, Randy and their Australian Shepherd, Peach.
