Certificate in Executive Event Planning


The Certificate in Executive Event Planning will provide employees the opportunity to learn the nuances of hosting executive level events. This program offers a series of courses focused on planning executive level events, basic etiquette, table service, and estate management. Two of the four required courses will be held at The President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood. After completing the required courses, participants will need to volunteer for two events at Timeless Tanglewood before they can complete the Certificate in Executive Event Planning program. Participants must complete a total of four (4) courses and volunteer twice at events at the President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood to earn the certificate. 

  • UPC Part A: Introduction and Entry Level Private Estate Management
  • UPC Part B: Basic Etiquette/Table Etiquette/Table Service
  • UPC Part C: Volunteer Experience
  • Hosting Executive Level Events at UWF Part A
  • Hosting Executive Level Events at UWF Part B

Upon completion of the four courses and volunteering twice for the Certificate in Executive Event Planning, employees must complete a Verification of Professional Development Completion Form and submit it to Human Resources to receive the certificate.

Course Outline

UPC Part A: Introduction and Entry Level Private Estate Management

Course Description: This course covers an introduction to the President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood. Attendees will become familiar with the estate. Participates will learn how to manage events operated at the UPC. This course will give participants insight into management of a private estate to ensure the estate is event ready at all times. The training is a 3-hour training session which will be held at The President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood. This course will count towards the Certificate in Executive Event Planning.

UPC Part B - Basic Etiquette/Table Etiquette/Table Service

Course Description: This training will include basic estate home management tips, basic etiquette, table etiquette training, table setting and table service training. Participants will learn how to set and use each piece of a table settings, how to plate and serve meals, how to remove plates and unused flatware. This course will also cover tablescapes and event clean up. The training is a 3-hour training session which will be held at The President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood. This course will count towards the Certificate in Executive Event Planning

UPC Part C - Volunteer Experience

Course Description: Upon completion of UPC Part A and Part B, participants will be asked to volunteer for two events at The President’s Club at Timeless Tanglewood to practice their skills and observe a high-level executive event. This volunteer experience will count towards the Certificate in Executive Event Planning.

Hosting Executive Level Events at UWF Part A

Course Description: This course will cover the process and protocols for hosting executive level events. This course covers funding sources, layouts and arrangements, invite list, and UWF events standards. This includes events for executives and events where executives are invited to attend. This course will count towards the Certificate in Executive Event Planning.

Hosting Executive Level Events at UWF Part B

Course Description: This course will cover etiquette and protocols for inviting the president or vice-presidents to speak, community leaders and executives, board members, elected officials and international guests. This class will focus more on the etiquette of hosting specific guests at your event. This course will count towards the Certificate in Executive Event Planning.
