Retired Logos and Unsupported Marks
In order to increase brand recognition, it is imperative that all University marketing and communications utilize official, current University logos and marks. Retired logos and unsupported marks diffuse the institution’s brand awareness and create confusion. Use of any retired mark is prohibited.
Retired Marks: These marks belong to UWF but have been taken out of circulation to focus on marks that support the current visual identity.
Unsupported Marks: Sub-brands created outside the brand standards are prohibited. Individuality of units, programs or efforts should be expressed through unique photography and messaging that aligns with the brand, rather than by the creation of off-brand marks. The most effective way to gain recognition is to use the UWF brand and to link your unit's reputation to the overall UWF narrative.
