Athletic Logos
The Athletic brand is evolving alongside the institutional brand and will debut in Fall 2027. Guidelines on the usage of the current UWF athletic logos are below.
Use of the official UWF athletic logos or any athletic mark is limited to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, University Marketing and Communications and University Advancement. The use of “University of West Florida Argonauts,” “UWF Argonauts,” “West Florida Argonauts,” and “Argie” are limited to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. Limited exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with a preference on enhancing recruitment, student life or general school spirit initiatives. President’s Helmet and Sword Marks
In an effort to bolster the brand and reputation of our athletics programs, as well as create a stronger connection with our institutional brand, the President’s Helmet and Sword marks have been created for use by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Office of the President and University Marketing and Communications for internal branding initiatives. All other uses are strictly prohibited without prior authorization by UMC.
Shield Mark
In an effort to enhance and strengthen the connection between current students and alumni, this mark has been designated for use by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Alumni Relations, the Student Alumni Association and Student Ambassadors. All other uses are strictly prohibited.
Sword & Shield Mark
This mark is reserved for use by UWF’s Division of University Advancement and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (including the Sword & Shield Council) for fundraising materials only. All other uses are strictly prohibited.
