Overview

Founded in 1995, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht is one of the largest higher education institutions in the Netherlands, and a UWF exchange partner. This public institution has an international feel and is highly personalized since academic units are housed according to discipline. This facilitates you getting to know faculty within your major. Multiple opportunities are available to get involved with extracurricular activities and sport, and to work in a buddy system to learn Dutch.

Academics

Course work is conducted in English and includes undergraduate programs in international communications and media and international business and management. A graduate program is also available in business studies and innovation in European business. HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht also has excellent summer school programs of varying lengths.

Utrecht is a city full of university students and as such, there are several types of accommodations within the city and neighboring suburbs. A local housing company assists students with university accommodations that are fully furnished.

Budget

Costs of participation may be less than you think! Compared to UWF estimated direct cost of $7,970 for tuition, housing and meals per semester, or $15,940 for an academic year for in-state residents, the cost of a semester of study at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht is between $4,000 and $6,200, and $8,000 to $12,400 for an academic year. Costs vary by housing type and single or shared living spaces and meal selection. Tuition is paid on a semester basis to UWF and is charged at the same rate (in-state or out-of-state) that you pay when studying in Pensacola. This cost estimate does not include cost of international travel to include flight, visa, passport, and insurance.
