Employee Recognition and Awards Program (ERAP)

Employee Recognition and Awards Program (ERAP)

Committee Process

The following is the process of the Employee Recognition Awards Program (ERAP) committee:

  • A rubric will be developed with clear, measurable criteria for the selection committee to select award winners based off "above and beyond" job performance and excellence at the university and in the community.
  • The current four divisional award selection committees and the Employee of the Year committee (comprised of divisional committee chairs) will be replaced with one award selection committee. This committee will select:
    • Divisional winners for the Nautilus Excellence Awards (selecting up to the maximum number of winners pre-determined for each division).
    • Employee of the Year and the Community Service Award winner
  • The award selection committee will be comprised of:
    • Chaired by the current Marion Viccars Award winner or someone designated by the Provost/Executive Vice President. The chair must be at the director level or above.
    • Two current Nautilus Excellence Award winners (not OPS winners) from each division to be selected by the divisional Vice Presidents.
    • Current Employee of the Year.

Note:  The award selection committee is authorized to award one discretionary Nautilus Excellence Award to any nominee from any division.

  • The following two award winners will continue to be selected by their areas:
    • The President's Award for Leadership in Diversity will be selected by Dr. Kim LeDuff.
    • Student Government Association Awards will be selected by SGA.

Retirement and Service Awards

Retirement Awards

The University’s Employee Recognition Program provides retiring employees with a choice of retirement mementos. Please make your selection by completing the retirement selection form within six (6) weeks (if possible) of your retirement date so that your selected retirement award may be ordered. If you have any questions about the Retirement Awards Program, please contact Human Resources at 850-474-2694.

Service Awards

Employees who have achieved increments of five (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, etc.) continuous years of service with the University of West Florida are eligible to receive a service award and a certificate for their years of service at the University.

To redeem your service award you will receive a cogz along with your certificate which has a unique redemption code with a dollar value assigned on the back. Upon receipt of your cogz, you should log into the Boost Reward website and select your award. This award may be in the form of a gift card or a keepsake. Even if you wish to save your cogz until your next milestone year for a more valuable item, you must still log into the Boost Reward website to activate your cogz within 12 months of issue date to avoid expiration. Cogz that have not been activated will expire after 12 months.

If you wish to donate your cogz to another employee’s Boost Rewards account, you may do so by completing the Service Awards Cogz Transfer form and submitting it to Human Resources. If the cogz has not been activated, this form must be completed prior to the 12-month expiration date.

To log in, you should use your Argonaut username and UWF plus the current year (example: UWF2017, UWF2018, etc) as your password. Once you have logged in, you will be prompted to change your password.

If you experience problems with the Boost Reward website, contact Boost Reward Customer Services at 1-800-324-9756
