ADA Compliance

Our office is responsible for ensuring campus-wide compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), Amendment Act of 2008 (ADAAA), and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as such, directly responds to faculty, staff and public requests for reasonable accommodations and indirectly to student requests.

Sexual Violence at UWF - Title IX

The Office of Title IX Programs handles complaints of sexual violence (rape, sexual assault, dating violence, and domestic violence), sexual misconduct (stalking and sexual harassment), and gender-based discrimination. The office also provides resources to the UWF campus community.

Institutional Accreditation

The University of West Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award associate, baccalaureate, master's, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. The University of West Florida also may offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. Student Achievement

As an institution accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), the University of West Florida (UWF) is obligated to provide to its students, constituents, and the public information about "its goals for student achievement and the success of students in achieving those goals. Information on student success may include reliable information on retention, graduation, course completion, licensure examinations, and job placement rates and other measures of student success appropriate to institutional mission."
