Battle Bots Team
UWF Battle Bots: A team of Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students set out to proudly represent the University in designing and building remote-control robots in national battle competitions.
In it to win it! Get Ready to Battle!
The Battle Bots team was created as a competition for engineering prowess and a test of the connection between those who created and designed the robot and the robot itself. This will also test the general understanding and experience with the manufacturing process that an engineer may expect to encounter, as most elements of this process are found within the participation of battle bots. The Battle Bots team will design and assemble a fully functional robot to outmaneuver and disable a competing robot.
The UWF Battle Bots team is hosting a Battle Bots competition in April 2025. We invite any post-secondary school to come to Pensacola and compete! There are no registration fees. We will be using the National Robotics League official rules with these small changes:
- Maximum Weight 15 pounds (at all times)
- Vehicle must fit within 2x2x2 foot space
- LiPo batteries are allowed
The competition will take place in an approximately nine feet squared arena.
