What is Emerald Coast BEST Robotics?

The University of West Florida hosts the Emerald Coast BEST Robotics hub, the first BEST hub in the State of Florida. Emerald Coast BEST will hold its annual competition in the Success Academy Gym near George Stone Technical College (2400 Longleaf Drive - corner of Longleaf Drive and Wymart Road adjacent to George Stone)
The mission of BEST Inc. is to inspire middle and high school students to pursue careers in engineering, science, and technology through participation in a sports-like, science and engineering-based robotics competition each fall.
The goal of Emerald Coast BEST is to accommodate as many robotic teams as the competition venue and hub finances can support.
The funding of hub operations depends entirely on corporate and individual sponsorships. Materials kits to build the robots are provided to the teams by the hub. No fees are paid by students or schools participating in BEST Robotics.
