NSA Southeast Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (CAE-C) Regional Hub

  CAE NSA UWFCenter Logos

The University of West Florida serves as the NSA Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE-C) Regional Hub for the Southeast, in partnership with CyberFlorida at the University of South Florida and Forsyth Technical Community College.

The UWF Center for Cybersecurity leads efforts to advance cybersecurity education, research, and workforce development among colleges and universities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands, guided by a Steering Committee of CAE-C institutions across the Southeast.

Southeast CAE-C Consortium Map

The Southeast CAE-C Regional Hub supports national cybersecurity objectives and builds a stronger cybersecurity community by hosting events, faculty professional development workshops and student competitions, and facilitating outreach and collaborations among CAE-C institutions and government partners across the region.

UWF has demonstrated leadership as the Southeast CAE-C Regional Resource Center since 2017. The NSA reduced the number of regions from nine to five and selected UWF as the CAE-C Regional Hub for the Southeast U.S. with an expanded mission and region.
