Associate Director (and Assistant/Associate Professor) for the Center for Cybersecurity

The UWF Center for Cybersecurity invites applications and nominations for Associate Director (and Assistant/Associate Professor) for the Center for Cybersecurity dependent on qualifications and experience. The position can be non-tenure earning, tenure-track, or tenured depending on the candidate's education and experience. The Associate Director will help lead and support the Center’s nationally recognized education, training, research, and outreach activities. The ideal candidate will be a strong cybersecurity leader with significant experience, national recognition, and demonstrated contributions to cybersecurity education, workforce development, grants, and research. Candidates with demonstrated experience developing and teaching various cybersecurity courses, training, and/or workforce development programs are encouraged to apply. Teaching interests include but are not limited to cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, threat intelligence and hunting, cybersecurity operations, incident response, artificial intelligence and/or machine learning for cybersecurity, cloud security, and industry certification courses. Successful candidates will also have a strong track record of securing grants or contracts to support education, training, workforce development, and research. Research interests include but are not limited to cybersecurity education and training, artificial intelligence and/or machine learning for cybersecurity, critical infrastructure security, industrial control systems security, cybersecurity operations, offensive cybersecurity, cloud security, and Internet of Things (IoT) security.

Adjunct Instructor Pool

The Center for Cybersecurity at the University of West Florida is seeking qualified applicants to serve as adjunct faculty to teach fully online (synchronous or asynchronous) courses for the Center’s training and workforce development programs. Adjunct faculty will teach one or more courses from the topics listed below: Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Network Defense Fundamentals, Advanced Network Defense, Incident Response, Threat Intelligence / Hunting, Risk Management, Cloud Security, ICS Security, AI and ML for Cybersecurity, CMMC Compliance, and Security Compliance and Auditing, Also seeking adjunct faculty to teach industry certification prep courses, including but not limited to CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, and Cybersecurity Analyst.
