Instructions for Students Applying
for Graduation
- The "Application
for Graduation" must be completed and submitted
to the major department no later than the last day of
drop/add of the semester prior to the semester in which
you plan to graduate.

Doctoral
degree candidates should use the
Doctoral
Application for Graduation (pdf).
Type or print
your name EXACTLY as it is to appear on the diploma,
clearly indicating spacing and capitalization.
- Students who are seeking an Associate of Arts degree must complete and submit an “A.A. Application for Graduation” to the University Advising Center (Building 18) no later than the last day of drop/add of the semester prior to the semester in which you plan to graduate. Follow this link for the A.A. Application for Graduation (pdf) that you may print and complete. Type or print your name EXACTLY as it is to appear on the diploma, clearly indicating spacing and capitalization.
- Students fulfilling the requirements for a minor are required to submit
the "Application for Completion of Minor" form to the minor department.

- If you have any
questions concerning your catalog year for degree requirements,
refer to "Choice of Catalog" in the UWF
Catalog.
- Information regarding the Commencement Ceremony
can be found on the
Commencement web site.
- The diploma and an "issued to student" copy of your UWF academic transcript indicating
the degree earned will be mailed to the DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS approximately
six weeks after commencement. Should a diploma mailing address change
occur, you must notify the Graduation
Officer in the Office of the Registrar.
- Students who do
not meet the requirements for graduation must reapply
for graduation by the deadline for the semester in which
the requirements are met.

PRIVACY ACT: Your
name will not appear in the Commencement Program or
newspaper if you have completed the "Request to Prevent
Disclosure of Directory Information." Contact the Office
of the Registrar if you wish to have your name appear.

PARTICIPATION IN THE
COMMENCEMENT
CEREMONY IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF GRADUATION
DEGREES WILL BE AWARDED UPON COMPLETION
OF ALL DEPARTMENTAL AND UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS
