Biography

Dr. Cheng Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering here at UWF. He has a Ph.D. and an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. He also received a B.E. in Engineering Thermophysics from the University of Science and Technology of China. Dr. Zhang commonly teaches Thermal Fluid Systems I, Computer-Aided Design and Modeling, Sophomore Engineering Design I and Junior Engineering Design I. His research interest are Turbulent flow and combustion, Multiphase flow, Microfluids, Coal/biomass gasification, Diesel/biodiesel-fueled internal combustion engine, Wind energy, Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Computational aeroacoustics (CAA)
