Biography
Dr. Diekmann holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, a Master's in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville. Dr. Diekmann previously taught at the University of Southern Indiana and Ivy Tech Community College as an adjunct and at Auburn University as a postdoc. She has previously practiced in structural and geotechnical engineering and is a registered professional engineer in Indiana, Ohio, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Virginia. Dr. Diekmann conducts research within the broad themes of foundation engineering, earth retention, soil properties, pavement geotechnics, infrastructure monitoring, and natural hazards.
