UWF’s online Molecular Diagnostics continuing education courses allow Medical Laboratory Scientists to prepare for Molecular Biology Certification Exams.

Description: A general overview of laboratory processes designed for individuals needing a refresher.
Course Topics: Nucleic Acid Sequencing and Basic Molecular Theory, Basics of PCR, Nucleic Acid Extraction and Gel Electrophoresis Methods, Real-Time PCR, Other Nucleic Acid-Based Methods (Multiplex PCR, Nested PCR, TMA, RT-qPCR) and PCR Assay Development and Design.
