UWF’s online Molecular Diagnostics continuing education courses provide opportunities for Medical Laboratory Scientists to prepare for the Molecular Biology Certification Exam.

Molecular Diagnostics Course 1

Dates: Start Upon Registration
Course Topics: Nucleic Acid Sequencing and Basic Molecular Theory, Basics of PCR, Nucleic Acid Extraction and Gel Electrophoresis Methods, Real-Time PCR, Other Nucleic Acid-Based Methods (Multiplex PCR, Nested PCR, TMA, RT-qPCR) and PCR Assay Development and Design.

Molecular Diagnostics Course 2

Course Topics: DNA Sequencing Analysis, NextGen Sequencing Methods, DNA Polymorphisms and Human Identification, Genetics/Oncology/Engraftment/Pharmacogenomics, Infectious Disease Testing and Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
