Coursework Completion Instructions
Once students complete a Degree and/or a Verified Course sequence at UWF, follow the instructions below to prepare for certification exams.
Degree Seeking Students: Apply for Graduation
- Meet with your advisor to verify any remaining degree requirements.
- Apply for Graduation
- Once your degree is conferred, you will need to obtain an official transcript to accompany your certification exam application.
- Ordering Official Transcripts
- Specify to "hold for degree" when requesting a transcript prior to the end of a semester. Otherwise, incomplete transcripts may result in exam application denial. Check your unofficial transcript before ordering.
- Register for Commencement, if you wish to participate
Non-Degree Seeking Students: Order an Offical Transcript
- Order an official transcript to accompany your certification exam application, after your final grades are posted.
- Specify to "hold for grades" when requesting a transcript prior to the end of a semester. Otherwise, incomplete transcripts may result in exam application denial. Check your unofficial transcript before ordering.
- Non-degree programs do not "graduate" so there is no diploma issued from UWF.
- Non-degree seeking students are not eligible to participate in a commencement ceremony.
All Students: Apply for the Certification Exam
- Go to the BACB website to begin your exam application under Pathway 2. Follow the application instructions listed in the handbook for the credential you are pursuing.
- Order an official transcript to accompany your certification exam application, after your final grades are posted.
- Specify to "hold for grades" or "hold for degree" when requesting a transcript prior to the end of a semester. Otherwise, incomplete transcripts may result in exam application denial. Check your unofficial transcript before ordering.
- Include the Verified Course Sequence (VCS) Number for the courses you completed:
- BCBA Graduate Course Sequence: ABAI VCS 51253
- BCaBA Undergraduate Course Sequence: ABAI VCS 5113
- If you earned your degree from another institution, the BACB will require a separate transcript in addition to your UWF transcript:
- BCBA exam applicants must also submit a transcript for your Masters degree
- BCaBA exam applicants must also submit a transcript for your Undergraduate degree
- The BACB only accepts official transcripts as proof of VCS and degree completion.
- Go to the QABA website to begin your exam application. Follow the exam application process for the credential you are pursuing.
- Degree Seeking Students

- Non-Degree Seeking Students
- Order an official transcript to accompany your certification exam application, after your final grades are posted.
- Specify to "hold for grades" when requesting a transcript prior to the end of a semester. Otherwise, incomplete transcripts may result in exam application denial. Check your unofficial transcript before ordering.
- Alternatively, you may request a certificate of completion to submit in place of transcripts when applying for the QABA exams.
- Submit the UWF CBA Certificate Request Form to request a certificate.
