He held the positions of head of the Music Education Department and professor of music at Mississippi State University; chair of the Division of Fine Arts at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana; and Director of Bands at Augusta State University and Truett-McConnell College.

  • Short Bio: Matthew Fossa has been the Principal Oboist of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra since 2002. In addition, he holds the same position with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and also performs with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Fossa received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and the Performer’s Certificate from the Crane School of Music in May of 1998. He was awarded his Master’s Degree in Oboe Performance at the Florida State University in December of 2000.

As an orchestral performer, Kristina has attended the Sewanee Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Eastern Music Festival and Chautuaqua Music Festival, in addition to performing with the Pittsburgh Chamber Orchestra, Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Miami Symphony Orchestra, and the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra.
