Corey McKern is the interim director of the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music and instructor of voice. McKern teaches applied voice, voice studio, and other classes in music and theater departments.

Dr. Sheila Dunn, soprano, is a professor of voice in the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music, who teaches applied voice, vocal pedagogy, vocal literature, opera workshop and women in popular music.

Dr. Sean Kelley serves as Director of Bands and Coordinator of Music Education at UWF. He directs the Argo Athletic Band Program (comprising the Argo Marching Band and Basketball Band) and the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music Symphonic Band and oversees the Bachelor of Music Education degree.

Dr. Hedi Salanki-Rubardt, Distinguished University Professor and director of piano and chamber music, teaches piano and harpsichord performance, keyboard interpretation, musical structure and style, and chamber music. She is also recognized as a Yamaha Artist.

  • Short Bio: Ray has been the principal flutist of the 151st Army Band in Montgomery, AL since 2020. Previously, she was the assistant principal flutist of the South Shore Symphony Orchestra in Tampa, FL. Ray received her Master of Music in Flute Performance from the University of South Florida and her Bachelor of Music Education from Young Harris College.

  • Short Bio: Matthew Fossa has been the Principal Oboist of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra since 2002. In addition, he holds the same position with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra and also performs with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Fossa received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance and the Performer’s Certificate from the Crane School of Music in May of 1998. He was awarded his Master’s Degree in Oboe Performance at the Florida State University in December of 2000.

As an orchestral performer, Kristina has attended the Sewanee Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, Eastern Music Festival and Chautuaqua Music Festival, in addition to performing with the Pittsburgh Chamber Orchestra, Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Miami Symphony Orchestra, and the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra.

He has won awards at Avery Fisher Hall and in Duxbury Music Festival’s solo and chamber competitions and is an active chamber musician.
