Andi Barnes

Biography

Andi grew up in Pensacola, Florida and completed her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. She then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Nursing Degree from Vanderbilt University in 1998. After completing her Nurse Practitioner training, she worked in Primary Care in the Nashville and Chattanooga areas for the next eight years. After her husband’s work briefly took her to Colorado, she and her family returned to Pensacola and she has worked in Primary Care here since 2009. Andi enjoys caring for others and educating people about their health and wellness. She feels that health is not only physical but it is also emotional and spiritual and it is important to her that her patients feel well cared for and supported. She is thankful for the opportunity to work with the students at UWF and has thoroughly enjoyed her time here.

In addition to working at the university, Andi enjoys spending time with her husband of nineteen years and their two boys. She is also heavily involved in her church family and enjoys reading, exercising, and watching movies.
