Mikia Carter, Ed.S.

Mikia serves as the Associate Director of Student Engagement. In her role, she is responsible for the Student Government Association, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Take Stock Collegiate Scholars, First-Generation Success Network, UWF's Welcome Week - Argo Arrival, and other student engagement initiatives. Her professional passions and research interests include the areas of mental health/self-care, first-generation college students, and curriculum and assessment. In Mikia’s spare time, she enjoys time with family and friends, powerlifting, practicing yoga, trying out new recipes or painting.
