Mikia Carter, Ed.S.

Mikia serves as the Associate Director of Student Engagement. In her role, she is responsible for the Student Government Association, Family Programs, Fraternity and Sorority Life, First-Generation Success Network, UWF's Welcome Week—Argo Arrival, and other student engagement initiatives. Her professional passions and research interests include the areas of mental health/self-care, first-generation college students, and curriculum and assessment. In Mikia’s spare time, she enjoys time with family and friends, powerlifting, practicing yoga, trying out new recipes or painting.
