LEAD Program
UWF offers high-level leadership development opportunities for faculty and staff members.
Leadership, Enhancement, Activities & Development
LEAD, or Leadership, Enhancement, Activities & Development, fosters a community of leaders by encouraging team building through structured personal and interpersonal development. Each aspect of the program allows faculty and staff members to consider new ways of thinking through constructive, hands-on opportunities.
Participants will engage in interactive workshops, roundtable discussions, and strategic planning sessions, and a special project to benefit the university. The program is carefully crafted to encourage new ways of thinking, foster teamwork, and build lasting connections across campus.
Graduates of the LEAD program are invited to continue their journey through LEAD2, an advanced program. LEAD2 is designed for those who wish to refresh, deepen, and expand their leadership skills. The program helps participants:
- Further enhance their leadership capabilities
- Build meaningful relationships across campus
- Develop strategies to help them flourish as leaders and team members
LEAD and LEAD2 are led by Dr. Athena du Pré, Distinguished University Professor.
Eligibility
Applications for LEAD and LEAD 2 are open April-May, and are announced in the @UWF Faculty & Staff newsletter. We invite full-time faculty and workforce staff members to apply.
