Student Complaints
Student Complaint Process
There are policies, grievance procedures, and appeal procedures established by the University that govern certain rights and obligations of the University's students. These are all set forth in the Student Handbook and the University catalog. If you have not been able to resolve your problem through these established avenues and need assistance with concerns related to your University experience - academic or nonacademic, you may wish to consider contacting a Student Advocate or the Student Ombudsman. Information concerning the Student Advocate and the Student Ombudsman is posted on the Dean of Students's website:
You can contact a Student Advocate at the office of the Student Government Association located in the University Commons, Room 227, or call the office at 850/474-2393. You can contact the Student Ombudsman at the University's Informal Dispute Resolution/ADA Compliance Office, located in Building 11, Room 119, or call the office at 850/857-6080.
