Earth Scholars


Program Overview

Earth Scholars is a student engagement program designed to enhance student-learning experiences.

The goals of the program are to:

  1. Increase student involvement in research and volunteer opportunities
  2. Disseminate information such as career advice and internships / jobs
  3. Peer-to-peer mentoring with Earth and Environmental Sciences faculty and students

Requirements:

  1. GPA: 2.7 or above
  2. Earth and Environmental Sciences major (no minimum hours in program required)

You must attend:

  1. Earth Scholars/Gamma Theta Upsilon (GTU) meetings (2 per semester)
  2. Professional Development Programs (2-3 per year)
  3. Volunteer or Research Projects (2-3 per year)
