These online, open-enrollment courses are open to anyone looking to expand their knowledge of business and entrepreneurship.

UWF Center for Entrepreneurship's non-credit certificate courses are designed based on the most in-demand skills businesses are actively searching for. The courses address specific needs from project management, continuous process improvement, to how to start your own business. 

With an average completion time of 8-10 weeks, each course is supported by instructor interaction, videos and written instructions. The interactive curriculum has been designed to provide both background knowledge of the topic and relevant practice executing key concepts. 

Courses are designed to be taken individually and do not have to be taken in any specific order, although many of the concepts are related and can build on subject area knowledge. A certificate of completion is awarded after successful course completion.

Six Sigma Green Belt 

Organizations must constantly improve to keep pace with today's global economy.  This has created a need for systematic approaches like Six Sigma to Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and then Control (DMAIC) their processes. The Six Sigma Greenbelt course introduces you to the Six Sigma process and provides detailed training on the use of Six Sigma tools. You are then introduced to a real project where you can use these skills to gain hands on experience using the Six Sigma process and tools. Completing the project, and the course, leads to the awarding of the Six Sigma Greenbelt which is acknowledged by thousands of organizations as the gold standard for entry level process improvement.

About the Instructor

Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Burch has bridged the gap between academics and application. Jerry completed his PhD in Organizational Behavior and has started three different companies. He brings both the theory and knowledge of creating new ventures with the practical experience of starting and running businesses.This unique blend of entrepreneurship and theoretical knowledge is the key to the helping others start, and run, their own businesses.Over the past six months, Jerry has used this knowledge to help over 70 companies prepare for life during, and after the Pandemic.
