A nationally recognized cybersecurity researcher, he has secured funding from organizations including the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of Education and Microsoft. His research interests span critical infrastructure security, industrial control systems security, machine learning for cybersecurity and regulatory compliance. Dr. Francia is a Fulbright Scholar and the recipient of numerous honors, including the 2018 Innovations in Cyber Security Education Award from the National CyberWatch Center.
