What do you enjoy most about working with students?
I enjoy collaborating with students and learning about their goals. Being able to see a student grow and achieve success is so rewarding.
What is your favorite quote?
"The expert in anything was once a beginner."
What is the best advice you received?
You have to ask the questions you need to ask, admit without apology what you don't understand, and do the work to learn what you need to learn as quickly as you can. There's nothing less confidence-inspiring than a person faking knowledge they don't possess. True authority and true leadership come from knowing who you are and not pretending to be anything else.
What advice would you give to new students?
You only get out what you put into your college experience. Don't be afraid to get outside your comfort zone and take advantage of every opportunity during your college journey.
What are your favorite activities outside of work?
I love to travel, go to the beach, watch movies, and play with my dog, Walter.
