What do you enjoy most about working with students?
I love working with students because they are all unique. Students give me energy. They allow me to see our future as a country unfolds right in front of me. There is nothing like seeing students succeed and reach their goals. I love getting the chance to be a small part of that process! This is my passion.
What is one surprising thing about you that not many people know?
I once participated in a Gender Equity internship with the United States Secret Service. I met President Clinton during a visit to Chicago and witnessed the preparation required for a presidential visit. I shot an oozy, automatic handgun and rifle. Quite the experience that I will never forget!
What is your favorite quote?
Promise me you’ll always remember: You’re braver than you believe and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. ― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
