Scholarship and Financial Resources

The Professional Development Scholarship offers financial assistance to support the career goals of UWF students. The deadline to apply is May 24, 2024.

Eligibility

Financial assistance is only available to currently enrolled, degree-seeking UWF students. If you receive financial assistance through the Professional Development Scholarship, it will be considered estimated financial assistance (EFA) as part of your Financial Aid package. You may only receive one award per academic year from the Argos Suit Up or Professional Development Fund.

Applicants can request financial assistance for any of the following:
  • For the purchase of professional attire
  • For travel funds to attend an interview or present at a HIP-related conference
  • For funds to offset the cost of enrolling/participating in a high-impact practice such as a co-op, internship, research, or other experiential learning activity
  • For the cost of supplies that may be needed for research posters and other deliverables
  • For funds to offset childcare costs associated with the activities above

How to Apply for a Professional Development Scholarship

Current degree-seeking students can apply for financial assistance by submitting a short video discussing how they will be positively impacted by receiving financial assistance for professional attire, professional development, or other career-related expenses. Please follow the instructions below to submit your application for financial assistance.
