Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) is committed to empowering the workforce of tomorrow by investing in education, training and professional development programs. FPL has been working together with UWF to grow skillsets and access training programs across the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity.

For several years, FPL has been a strong supporter of the UWF Center for Cybersecurity’s mission and workforce development initiatives and serves as an active participant on the Center’s Advisory Board. Recently, FPL joined the CyberSkills2Work Employers Network, a national cybersecurity workforce development program, for which UWF serves as the lead institution.

FPL also supports the economic growth of Northwest Florida and hosts the annual Northwest Florida Economic Symposium. This event brings together hundreds of community leaders from across the region and serves as a catalyst to generate conversations about the future of our region and local communities.
