The Argo2Pro: Career Readiness Program is designed to provide students with a plan for developing vital career readiness skills.
What is Argo2Pro?
The Argo2Pro: Career Readiness Program highlights eight skills identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) that are essential to professional success, regardless of industry.
The Argo2Pro will assist you in creating a plan of action unique to your individual needs and goals that will help you develop these vital career readiness skills.

The Argo2Pro: Skills Confidence Assessment can help identify your strengths and which skills you may still need to develop to become career-ready.

Use your Individualized Career Plan to identify high-impact experiences that can help you transition from exploring to excelling at Argo2Pro's Career Readiness Skills. Earn badges by demonstrating each skill and uploading assessments to the appropriate Career Pathway. Enroll in each pathway by clicking the links below and signing into Canvas with your MyUWF credentials. Verification of each uploaded document will be conducted by CDCE or the most appropriate department.

You will be able to:
- Articulate and express thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms
- Demonstrate strong public speaking skills
- Compose/edit memos, letters, presentations, and reports clearly and effectively
Experiences that can help you excel at this skill:
Written
- Publish an article or paper
- Receive approval for a dissertation/thesis/research paper
- Hold an internship, leadership role, or participate in an organization where primary responsibilities require professional writing skills (i.e., served as a secretary of a club – created agendas and kept minutes)
- Write a script for a short film, documentary, or TV show
- Successfully complete a course focused on written communication
Oral
- Present at a meeting, conference, or symposium
- Deliver a sales pitch at the Sales Pitch Competition
- Hold a leadership role or participate in an organization/competition where primary responsibilities require effective oral communication skills
- Principal acting role in a theater production
- Successfully complete a course focused on oral communication
Possible culminating assessment products (how it is proven):
Written
- Documentation of technical report
- Published papers or articles
- Documentation of attendance at Writing Lab and submission of the final product as a result of the Writing Lab review
- An Eportfolio containing written work
- Confirmation of thesis/dissertation/research paper approval
- Documentation of a professor/outside expert-reviewed film/documentary/TV show script
- A course syllabus or other document for a completed course focused on written communication, highlighting elements related to written communication
- Attainment of the "Fundamentals of Written Communication," General Education Badge issued by UWF
Oral
- Documentation of a public presentation - a conference program, theater production, event agenda, or verbal-focused competition documentation with the name listed (ex., Participation in Student Scholar Symposium, Mock Trial Tournament, etc.)
- A letter of support or an evaluation from a supervisor/faculty/professional that directly observed concrete examples of your success with the oral communication outcomes (for outcomes, see "you will be able to")
- Submission of a HIP project to present at the HIP Showcase
- A course syllabus or other document for a completed course focused on oral communication, with highlighted elements related to oral communication

You will be able to:
- Exhibit respect and learn from all people or cultures

Experiences that can help you excel at this skill:
- Participate in a study abroad or volunteer/internship experience abroad
- Attend a campus event that focuses on global learning topics
- Participate in a job or internship that focuses on customers or clients from varied backgrounds
- Successfully complete a course focused on global/intercultural development
Possible culminating assessment products (how it is proven):
- Letter of support from supervisor/faculty from volunteer, internship, or study abroad experience
- A reflection demonstrating participation in at least three global, or cultural-related on or off-campus events or high-impact experiences (this reflection should include documentation showing dates and names of each program attended and thoroughly address how you demonstrated the outcomes associated with this skill, how this experience aided in your skill development, areas and steps to take for improvement, etc.)
- Submission of a study abroad project or a HIP project focused on intercultural global knowledge for the HIP Showcase
- A course syllabus or other document providing evidence of skill development for a completed course focused on global/intercultural development

You will be able to:
- Search, identify and retrieve information in digital environments
- Leverage existing digital technologies ethically and efficiently to solve problems, complete tasks, and accomplish goals
- Adapt to new and emerging technologies
Experiences that can help you excel at this skill:
- Complete training or coursework to efficiently and comfortably utilize advanced database management features
- Complete training or coursework to efficiently and comfortably utilize advanced Excel features (graphs, macros, pivot tables)
- Successfully complete a 3000 or 4000 level course focused on digital technology
- Develop and update a website for a course, job, student organization, or internship
Possible culminating assessment products (how it is proven):
- Documentation of an app or website development on a public platform
- Demonstration of proficiency in utilizing advanced database management features and advanced Excel features (graphs, macros, pivot tables)
- Copy of presentation incorporating advanced technology elements (Powerpoint, Excel, etc.)
- Documentation of achieving special certification or course completion in a program, platform, or database (e.g., Microsoft Access, etc.)
- Submission of a HIP project in the ePortfolio category for the HIP Showcase
- A course syllabus or other document providing evidence of skill development for a completed course focused on advanced digital technology

- Documentation of participation in a case study highlighted to include critical thinking/problem-solving
- A course syllabus and assignment in which you interpreted data, issues, or concerns to determine the scope of a problem and then suggested or implemented a meaningful solution
- Documentation of participation in a research project highlighting critical skills and problem-solving outcomes addressed

You will be able to:

- Successfully complete a course focused on professional skills or career management
- Complete your Handshake profile, upload professional documents (resume and cover letter), and search and apply for jobs
- Visit CDCE for assistance in major/career exploration, to get your professional headshot, to have your resume/cover letter reviewed, and to practice interviewing
- Successfully complete an advanced internship related to your major or career goals
- Attend a regional and/or national conference for your major or industry of interest or as part of a student club/org
- Participate on a faculty-lead research team
Possible culminating assessment products (how it is proven):
- Letter of support from HIP/EL supervisor demonstrating completion of experience related to major or career goals
- Letter of support from faculty member leading research team
- An ePortfolio containing elements relevant to desired industry
- Documentation showing attendance (check-in) for three qualifying career events and three qualifying career appointments or service offerings (i.e., Co-op Boot Camp, Major and Career Exploration, Resume or Cover letter review, Mock Interview, etc.)
- A completed personal statement for graduate school, reviewed by the CDCE
- A course syllabus or other document providing evidence of skill development for a completed course focused on professional skills or career management
- Anyone seeking the Career Management badge must have a completed profile and résumé approved on Handshake

You will be able to:
- Demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior
- Present, conduct and carry him/herself in a professional manner
- Demonstrate effective work habits
Experiences that can help you excel at this skill:
- Attend professional networking events – Examples: Career Fairs, Etiquette Dinner, Chamber of Commerce events, etc.
- Attend a professional new-employee orientation at a job, internship, campus job, etc.
- Active demonstration of professionalism and work ethic in an internship, part-time and/or full-time job
Possible culminating assessment products (how it is proven):
- Documentation demonstrating completion of new-employee orientation (i.e., dated agenda)
- A reflection demonstrating participation in at least one networking event (this reflection should include documentation showing the date and name of the event(s) attended and thoroughly address how you demonstrated the outcomes associated with this skill, how this experience aided in your skill development, areas and steps to take for improvement, etc.).
- A letter of support or an evaluation from a supervisor/faculty/professional that directly observed concrete examples of your success with the professionalism/work ethic outcomes (for outcomes, see "you will be able to")
- Submission of a HIP project focused on professionalism/work ethic for the HIP Showcase

You will be able to:
