Scholarships

The School of Education has many scholarship opportunities available to our students.

The information below provides an overview of the application process for scholarships. Several examples of some of the scholarship opportunities are provided. Yearly funding varies.

Although not a requirement, we encourage each student to complete a FAFSA each year as a determining factor for scholarship awards based on financial need.

UWF Scholarship Portal

The University of West Florida accepts general scholarship applications throughout much of the year through the UWF Scholarship Portal. To apply for any scholarships (undergraduate or graduate), first, complete the UWF General Scholarship Application in the Scholarship Portal.

To access the UWF Scholarship Portal, log into your MyUWF account, search for "UWF Scholarship Portal," and complete the application. You must have an active UWF Student Account to submit an application. If you cannot access the scholarship application, please contact the ITS Help Desk for assistance, at 850.474.2075.

Undergraduate Scholarships

To apply for undergraduate awards, please complete the General Scholarship Application and any other scholarship applications for which you qualify in the UWF Scholarship Portal. Undergraduate applications submitted by the end of March will be considered for the following academic year. Generally, undergraduate scholarships are awarded for the following academic year in the spring. Remember that you must have a current UWF ID# (970xxxxxx) to be eligible for any scholarship.

Graduate Scholarships

Eligible students should first complete the UWF General Scholarship Application located in the UWF Scholarship Portal. The General Scholarship Application provides us with the necessary information to help award you assistance and qualify you for additional funding opportunities at UWF.

Then, complete the SOE Graduate Scholarship Application. Upon completing both applications, please submit a current curriculum vitae or professional resume, a statement of interest, and any supporting documentation directly to SOE@uwf.edu. Remember, to be eligible for any scholarship, you must have a current UWF ID# (970xxxxxx).

Graduate awards may be awarded throughout the year as funding becomes available. However, most awards for the following academic year are granted during the months of April through the end of June.

Please complete the SOE Graduate Scholarship Application to apply for a graduate grant or scholarship.

In addition to scholarships, the School of Education also offers a limited number of graduate assistantships, which may include a tuition waiver. Please see the page for more information.
