Minh-Phuoc (Tina) Ho

Biography

Tina Ho, DNP, MHA, MSN, Assistant Professor, teaches Patient- Centered Care III, Patient Centered Care IV, and in the graduate program/education track. She also serves as the TBSN Clinical Coordinator and Preceptorship Coordinator for the School of Nursing.

Dr. Ho has a plethora of experience in critical care, acute care nursing, and nursing case management. She specializes in critical care nursing, burns, and neurosurgery nursing. She was instrumental in bringing the first float team to Ascension Sacred Heart, Pensacola, Florida in 2005.

Her doctoral work focused on implementing the SBAR report during nurse handoff to decrease medication errors on a medical surgical unit earned her the reward of “Best Overall DNP project” at the nursing department of Grand Canyon University in 2020.

During the COVID-19 epidemic, she and another faculty Professor launched a virtual Code Management simulation for the PCC IV course so that students can experience a live simulation in real time done virtually. She continues to have innovative ways for student interaction, using the Swivl technology, escape room activities, and live Code management Simulations in her classroom.

Dr. Ho earned her BSN at the University of South Alabama, MSN and Master’s in Health Care Administration (MHA) at the University of Phoenix, and DNP at Grand Canyon University. She continues learn and strives for nursing excellence.

She speaks Vietnamese and French fluently. She is a pillar in the local Asian community and is an active member of the AAPINA (Asian American/Pacific Islander Nurses Association).
