Biography
Ashley Harmon DNP, RN is a lecturer for the School of Nursing. Educationally, Dr. Harmon’s DNP was obtained from Duke University where she focused on Nursing and Healthcare Leadership.
Dr. Harmon has a passion for nursing education and has been teaching new nurses for most of her career. She started precepting as a floor RN in Cardiac ICU step-down after being a new nurse for 6 months. She then went on to work in areas of Adult Critical Care, PACU, house supervision, multi-department management, nursing director, leadership as a nurse within supply chain with multiple hospital oversight, travel nursing while doing student precepting, and post-secondary nursing instruction.
Dr. Harmon’s passion for nursing education has no bounds and she is extremely happy to teach in any area of nursing that allows her to assist individuals in being the best nurse they can be!
